Experienced Professional Programmer (Free/Commercial) Looking for New Projects!

#1 Post by TheGameGirl »

Hey Everyone!
My name is Madison and I am a full time student currently working on a bachelor's degree in computer science. I currently have an associates degree in computer science (area of emphasis: programming), as well as an associate degree in math. If you have any questions please feel free to send me a message!

My Qualifications:
This URL links to my resume:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1W1Z ... sp=sharing

To do a quick recap of the important parts:
-Proficient in Python, Java and C++
-Proficient in software design, including flowcharts and pseudocode

I know Python is what's used with Ren'py, and Python is one of my best languages. I study machine learning which Python is the best language for (in my opinion), and I have taken college-level courses specifically in Python. So I am well equipped to handle anything in Python! I also have done GUI projects in both Python and Java in the past so I have experience with graphics and GUI programming specifically as well.

What Projects I am Looking For:

I was hoping to pick up some side projects to work on in my free time this summer to keep myself coding. Here are some quick points on what kinds of projects I am looking for:
-Smaller scale, few months commitment max
-Project is not in the concept/idea phase
-Project has mechanics that are ready for implementation (aka you have something for me to get started coding on)
-Project is in Python and/or Java
*I also am available to proof, debug, or just help out with any existing code on projects as well, and I don't mind working on teams.

My biggest factor for the project is how far along it is. I am not looking for a project that has no working script, and/or has none of the required assets being worked on or done. It is hard to code a story project without any parts of the script finalized, or implement graphics in a GUI when I have none of the assets. I am not looking to help produce or design your entire project either. I am a programmer, I can handle the code, software design, and implementation; so that's what I'm looking to do!

"Prices":
Regradless of the project I will require proper crediting as a programmer for the project.

Non-Commercial: If this is a non-commercial project and is reasonable in scale I will not require any form payment. If your project is one I can do in my free time and doesn't require I dedicate 15+ hours a week to it, it likely falls within the reasonable scale. If you are not sure how much work your project requires from a programmer I'd be happy to help with an estimate. If the project does require much more of my time, or is very intensive in scale I will require payment of some kind.

Commercial: If the project is a commercial one I will require payment in proportion to the scale of the project. My quote would depend on intensity of the code, where you plan to release it, for how much you plan to sell it, and how much of my time it would take. I would be happy to help with quotes and questions.

*If you have ANY questions I would be happy to answer them! Send me a message or reply, and I'll get back to you ASAP*
Thanks for reading!

Hello,
I might be coincidently a DAZ3D artist who is looking for a programmer to keep making games.
I've made a total of 7 full games already with my previous partner and am looking to do more. My patreon page is https://www.patreon.com/tora/
The links for the games are on the first page for you to check on my art style. I'd advise you to check on the later games first to get a view of my current proficiency. In the first games I was learning.
There's also my site mortzeart.com and my deviantart page is https://www.deviantart.com/mortze
As I understood right my project might not fit into the projects you're looking for. I am fully aware of that. Nonetheless, my work might eventually catch your interest and there's no harm asking anyway. It is NSFW material.
Please contact me at mortzeart@gmail.com if interested
Cheers,

Mortze

Hello,

I tried to contact you via PM but I'm not sure if you got the message or not. I'm interested in hiring you though.

Let me tell you a little bit about me and the project I'm working on.

I'm married and have one child and have been programming for about...3 1/2 - 4 years now.

I'm writing/coding a game called "Apocamorphosis" (or AMS for short). It's a text adventure (with some visual images and music) that is currently 100k+ lines of code with about 1.8+ million words. The main themes of the project are high fantasy adventure with some adult themes sprinkled here and there. The game makes about $550 a month at the moment via Patreon donations but is free-to-play.

You can check it out here. https://www.patreon.com/anonynn

The program software/engine I use to make the game is Quest. You can check that out here...
http://docs.textadventures.co.uk/quest/open_source.html The underlying code is C# mostly, some VB for the interface. Data is stored as XML (on desktop, do Tools - Code view to see the XML). The interface uses JavaScript with JQuery.

What I need is essentially a backup programmer.
This would entail taking care of a couple of programming issues that either; A. I don't have the time to fix myself or B. That I don't have the programming knowledge/capabilities to tackle alone.

I'm pretty open to discussion and ideas if it'll improve interface, story presentation or any particular systems I've already programmed into the game. I'm available to talk via: Discord, Email, Patreon, through my game's blog. Whatever is most convenient for you. If you are interested or if this is a project that you would like to be involved in, we can discuss pricing. ^_^

Thank you for your time,

Anonynn.
