Thank you ... my colorist (StickofJapanese on these boards and http://sno-dove.deviantart.com) does work too, on pictures like Kaede and all the sprites ...

OMG 3D!!!

Did you use a toon renderer or did you have to handpaint it?

Virtualdub/Virtualdubmod?

Though I haven't tried to use, it seems some people vouch for After FX.

I've got VirtualDub, but I'm not seeing the option to import BMP sequences, only export them .......

And it doesn't appear to encode to MPG, only AVI ... (sigh)

I used Deep Exploration 4. It was not a toon-renderer but Z-software buffer render or whatever that means!?

It just means its one of the available preview options ...

Ahh, I didn't get much accomplished, aside from fixing older images ...

I did do a concept of that little spider ... nuke .... thing from Chapter Two. I also struck up a correspondence with the modeller who made the hovercar model, he's a pretty cool guy. :)

Apparently, he never got my first e-mail but he found me through the multiple referrals to his page from mine.

My favorite one, Broken Dawn is yours, right? (smile)

I look forward to it.

I think I may also take a break from the CC art again to write Chapter Six from start to finish ... my boyfriend is in the process of moving down, so my attention is often on him and not on my projects ... LOL

I restarted Chapter Six ... after thinking about it for a long time, I mapped out what would happen, but I had no spark until I realized how badly I want to tell this story from beginning to end.

I mean, it's my baby ... I can't just abandon it.

Anyway ... I'm moving along now. Here's a dash of concept art.

Best of luck. Don't you dare stop. It really looks like there's a lot of determination to finishing this one. For me, Gakuen Redux was such a long-time-want-to-tell thing, and it developed over 4 years. Even though we may have produced better or more interesting pieces, there's a sense of completion when a story you really love finally closes and it's done. And, a lot of things change when you finally finish such a project. It's a great thing to happen, so I keep my fingers crossed for you.

I liked Gakuen Redux. I will never, ever, never ever read it again because it was so unbelievably long, but I felt like I had actually accomplished something getting to the end.

You know, for all that Gakuen Redux has no actual dialogue ... it worked. It don't know why, but it worked.

Probably out of all the games from ATP, I liked that one best ...

Sorry, I got off-topic.

I fully intend to finish the game one day ^_^. Lucien also submitted all lines up to Chapter Five, so that's cool. (He's the voice for Matthew).

I still need a VA for Kaede D: ... (Yukina's mom.)

There's a book I picked up this weekend called "Manga Clip Art" that has a nice CD full of royalty free images, as well as decent tutorials on using Photoshop (full, Elements, or one of the clones like "The Gimp") to do coloring and Cell Shading. Got it at Barnes and Nobles (available online there and at Amazon), and might be worth picking up if you're having to do your own coloring.

FWIW,
Ewan

I need to ask PyTom for info on how to do a preloader like Ori, Onoe, Ochi (whatever) has because I've noticed a little bit of delay when starting up the game, and my computer's pretty new.

I got Chapter Six done. Because it was running a bit long, I cut off what I was going to make the second half of Chapter Six into Chapter Seven.

Also, did I mention the Matthew's voiceacting is complete up to Chapter Five? (save for one line and that's largely my fault.)

So ... here it is. No new art. Sorry :(.
