OELVN recommendations?
There are a lot out there. I really enjoyed Katawa Shoujo and Christine Love's stuff. What else might I like? I normally like more sci-fi/fantasy type stuff but for shorter stuff I really like "high concept" slice of life stuff if you get what I mean. If there are longer english VNs, then stuff like Fate/Stay Night, Umineko whatever, I imagine that's not hard since they're the most popular anyway(feel like such a whore).

TCAST is a must, especially if you like sci-fi/slice of life kind of stuff.
Re: OELVN recommendations?
Haven't played it yet, but looks cool and could fit your tastes. Not the full game though.

Any more suggestions?
Re: OELVN recommendations?
You should try RockRobin even though it's just a demo right now.

Re: OELVN recommendations?
the ones that strike me as the best written from what I've read are Memo, Songs of Araiah, and Eastern Starlight Romance, though that last one is not only not finished, it's a touhou fanfic. Frozen Essence was a good read, though mainly because the world it takes place in is well-developed. the actual plot is somewhat weak.
other than that they're mostly either the same average quality stuff, or work that people didn't put serious effort into cause they were just experimenting. I suggest you go to either the ren'ai archive or, since there's so many, the ren'py games list, and just read through the descriptions for things that sound interesting.
