How fast your connection is?

#1 Post by chisa-chan »

Just wondering, how many mbps is the internet speed you have?

(Alright, I use 10 mbps connection at my pa's office and it is considered by many people here to be very fast, however, I heard from pa that this is absolutely slow, so I want to compare the speed with the one you guys have)

1.5mbps and this is the second best package available here. 10mbps is not slow. Go slap the ungrateful person that told you it was. My 1.5mbps isn't even slow.

Hmm...

....It seems that I have just realized why it is so slow here.
A section here is responsible to manage the server, and from what I have heard they limited the connection so it is so slow, while they freely surf the internet with high speed

Running on 4mbps down / 2mpbs up on a university network meaning at certain times traffic slows it to a crawl, especially for major websites. For instance, Youtube loaded much faster on my home DSL connection.

My crappy DSL connection gets 1.1 mbps download and 340 kbps upload. From experience, I know that's only on a good day. Makes me wish I lived in Korea...

Up speed : about 80kB/s max (same here)

me connection is slooow compared to all of you.

testmy.net results

Your connection is: 365 Kbps or 0.4 Mbps
You downloaded at: 45 kB/s
You are running: 6 times faster than 56K and can download 1 megabyte in 22.76 second(s)
Member Ident: CompID:1869593831644
Test Time:: 2007/03/30 - 11:29pm
Test Browser and OS info: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98)
Test ID: IJAG6ELZ7 (if this is a screenshot go to testmy.net to see if this is fake)
Diagnosis ^info^: May need help : running at only 20.48 % of your hosts average (202.170)
This was tested from a 386 kB file and took 8.67 seconds to complete

but lemme tell ya it's 7x faster than my previous connection.
How do you make your games? I see. Thank you for the prompt replies, but it is my considered opinion that you're doing it wrong inefficiently because I am a perfushenal professional. Do it my way this way and we can all ascend VN Nirvana together while allowing me to stroke my ego you will improve much faster. Also, please don't forget to thank me for this constructive critique or I will cry and bore you to death respond appropriately with a tl;dr rant discourse of epic adequately lengthy proportions. - Sarcasm Veiled in Euphemism: Secrets of Forum Civility by lordcloudx (Coming soon to an online ebook near you.)

Old DL speed (before the speed slowed down drastically): around 400+ KBPS
Now : 3.4 KBPS

How poor... :(

Supposedly 2.5 Mb/s for dl and 60kb/s but it's most often down to 500kb/s and... 5~10kb/s. I'm mostly peeved about the upload speed because it makes *everything* go slowly :(
