The Art of Kasuka...

#1 Post by Guest »

::Puts on Press hat:: I got a few questions for you Gray. First off, did you draw the art by hand and scan it in or did you do it from scratch? Second, what about the backgrounds? Third, I'm a freelance artist for hire, would you consider doing another re-make? ::Takes off press hat::

Grey. With an e damnit.

Yeah, for the characters first I drew them by hand, then scanned the pictures in, and traced over them to get the lineart, then CG'd them.

The backgrounds I did straight onto the computer.

Hmm, I'm not sure about the characters needing redoing, since I quite like them the way they are, but new backgrounds would be nice.

If you're interested then do a sample or two of the backgrounds (or characters, and put them up somewhere, and I'll take a look :)

Definitely more interested in backgrounds than characters though.

You know, you're like a friend of mine. His last name is Grey but the proper spelling is Gray and that always gets me and my friends. ..For some reason he finds it amusing. >.< =D

No, no, the American spelling is gray, which is not the same thing as the proper spelling.

In English english the 'proper' spelling is grey. (and it's a colour as well :P )

Thanks for pointing that out! I think I found a way to remember which is which:
Grey - English spelling
Gray - American spelling

...And I think I'll stick with "color" as it's one less letter to write. ^_^

That's why I spell it Grei and kohlore!

Yeah...I really like the art in Kasuka. Show's lots of potential and is unique. If only I had more to say, but I'm kinda tired right now.
It's been a while, folks!
