Hello, I don't know if a thread like this has been made, and I don't know where to put it, but I think it would be very useful.

The point of this thread is for those of us, like myself and probably many others, to say "I'm looking for a VN that..." and then list characteristics of a VN or story that you would like, and have other people suggest VNs to you based on your terms.

I'm aware that in the Completed/WIP Games forums authors usually post their game with tags, like [Romance] or [Mystery], but in this thread one can be as specific as they want to be.
If this thread is in the wrong place, or does not need to exist, please by all means move or delete it.

Here's an example:

I'm looking for a romantic mystery with a tsundare character taking place in a war torn town. Do you know of any like this?

Then

There's _____, it might be close to what you're looking for, but the town is still under attack and some of the characters are soldiers, including the protagonist.

Would this not be a need more efficiently served by the detailed tag system on vndb.org?

True enough. I was going to point out, that the human aspect of this thread would help people weed out the good ones from the bad ones, but on vndb they have a rating system and you can tell if something's good or not by just looking... hm. :/
