Re: Portable Ren'Py

Good idea! What about having an option to have save games stored on a server? So I have the game portable and can install it anywhere I want and still have access to my save games.

Re: popularity of EEC notebooks ?

nearly everyone I know has one now, I also see them everywhere now, I'd like one too, but I have to persuade my wife first ;) The best thing about these little ones are that they are small enough to be put in a normal bag and the battery lasts long enough to be actually used out doors. I think I'll ...

Re: cold nose - vn for children - questions

Just came back from a too short holiday trip in brussels with my family. I'll have to experiment a little. My 'big' girl is 7 and my 'little' girl is 2 years old. The bigger one has now started to play mysims on her ds and she needs to read a lot, this is good :) But she told that she would like to ...

Re: cold nose - vn for children - questions

Yes I thought of this way too, but I fear a little that it might take the player (parents/children) too long to actually begin the game. And I would have to ask a few questions. and should the questions be very clear, so that the player directly knows what he's going to get for a version or more lik...

Re: Ren'Py 6.9.1 pre-released

Do you mean tested a special feature or 6.9.1 generally?

I am already developing with the newest version, but it's mostly text until now. But all my scenes work and all my python functions too.

cold nose - vn for children - questions

Hi, I am developing a vn suitable for children between 3 and 12 years old. To be able to do that I have to write the same story in an appropriate way suitable for the different audience. So, that means that I have six novellas in one. Now the problem I have is how to provide this functionality in an...

Re: Ren'Py 6.9.1 pre-released

A feature I'd like someone to put together is a set of template imagemaps. Basically, some sort of ugly set of different-colored squares with labels that say what they are, and a corresponding python file that makes them into buttons. This way, an artist can go and edit those templates, and as long...

Re: Hyperlink in ui.button

At least it doesn't show a syntax error. I forgot the ' ' around the tag. But unfortunately no website opens. A configuration setting I am missing? $ ui.text('{a=http://www.renpy.org/}RenPy{/a}',hover_color='#c8ffff',color='#c8ffff',size=22,font='DejaVuSans.ttf') Edit: I have 6.9.1 Edit2: jack_norto...

Hyperlink in ui.button

Hi,

seen it in Heileen in the main-menu, a hyperlink to a http adress. I thought putting a {a=http://www.andsoon.com}Take me there{/a} in the ui.text part would work but it doesn't. Any ideas?

Re: Editra Support

Hmmm, dunno, I sort of accustomed myself to JEdit now. I have added the plugins I need, including a dictionary etc. pp. I had a look at the plugins from Editra, and there's not much at present. But of course such thing like a Pyhon shell is nice. What about Intellisense, that would be nice. And havi...

Re: Ren'Py Roadmap

What I will be doing as soon as I have time, is to try Unity . What is nice about this one, besides many other nice features, is that you deploy to Win and Mac standalone and also as webapplication with a really nice full-screen. Mac-Users can even deploy to Iphone. I don't know yet how the typical ...

Re: To anyone complaining about Ren'Py's documentation...

I'm sorry, documenting anything in a forum has to be one of the worst ideas ever. If you're talking about tech support, that is another matter, but that is definitely not the topic of this thread and in fact already exists (you are posting in it). Maybe it could be better too (I doubt it, because i...
