Re: Game loads and closes
That worked! I just updated recently (presumably because the school year kept me from working much) and didn't realize there was a new one out. Thanks so much!

[Resolved] Game loads and closes
Having an issue that's driving me up the wall. Every time I load my game to test it, the window appears, then vanishes. The first time, I ran LINT, and it told me that since the game wouldn't open, then it can't run a LINT. So, when I searched my code from top to bottom, and found the issue, I ran L...

Re: Help, Android
I can't see daikiraikimi's photo myself, but Ren'Py should have RAPT (Ren'Py Android Packaging Tool) built in to create Android distributions. You'll have to make special changes to a PC-based VN, like the size of the screen/proportions, etc. But I think the Lemmasoft Wiki should have plenty of data...

Re: Which option should I go with?
Not a big fan of "true" endings either, but even more importantly to me, I don't like the idea of making it Kinetic. I think people who like KNs play KNs. People who like VNs play VNs. While there are people who like both, I think it's going to be seen as a bit tedious for a VN player to p...

Re: Lemmasoft Statistics Study
How are you going to determine what was dropped, and what is just in production? I haven't posted in my WiP thread in a while, but my game production is still coming along. Had I not said that, would my project have been filed as dropped or on-production?

Re: Professor Layton and the Mystery of the Invisible Hotbar
Thank you. It's working now. I'm 98.7 percent sure that I could never duplicate whatever the hell I did to those images to make it work again, but it's working now, and that's good enough for me. Thanks!

It works on the ground and idle images, but the hover screws up. How do you set it up for hover?

Re: Professor Layton and the Mystery of the Invisible Hotbar
No...when the UI was sent to me, it had the hotbars as separate images, not built into the background image, if I understand your question correctly. Which bar goes in the image? The full, or empty?

[Solved] Mystery of the Invisible Hotbar
So my options screen has a hotbar for altering the volume of the sound effects, voice effects, text speed, and music. The hotbar works, so if you click and slide, the volume is affected. The problem is, the hotbar won't appear on the screen, so it's effectively invisible. screenshot0017.png Seriousl...

Re: What's your ideal/dream game dev partnership?
Wow, this is a cool topic. Let's see, I'd kill to have a well-lit house with lots of windows, but also lots of wall-sized 80's-esque mirrors for markerboarding. And those COWs (Computers on Wheels) that I think I read Valve uses so you can slide around all over the place to wherever you want to work...

Eh...we're at 80,000 words and only 1/5 completed. The game is sci-fi adventure with a stark focus on character development.

Impressive. I could learn a thing or two from your cel-shade style. Good luck finding a project. If I hadn't already resolved to (and more-or-less completed) do(ing) my own sprites, I'd have hired you in a heartbeat.

Re: Visual Novels: Should We Abandon the Term? And How?
...can I ask a seemingly stupid question? Ok, here goes... In response to what was written on page 1 of this thread, why did the Japanese media introduce Ren'Py as an "interactive e-book"? Like, if they make VN's, what's wrong with the way we make ours? Is our style very different? I've p...
