Wow. That looks extremely professional, and extremely gorgeous! It's a nice, simple yet intricate style. I'm sure the other screens will look just as lovely! I'm glad to see this coming along(:

This looks absolutely amazing! The art is beautiful, too. I really like the way the doctor stands, haha. And the text box is really nice, too, I like that you kept the style of it even when toning it down. I can't wait to hear more about this!

Hi Brian! The rating would most likely be PG or PG-13. The themes within the game are somehow serious and some terminologies and explanation are often scientific that some times, general knowledge may not be enough to explain it.

Also, how much will the game cost?

I haven't really discussed it with Syn as of the the moment, but we're planning to sell it in a reasonable price for a self-published game. We'll announce if we've finally settled on a price for it since we're still in the midst of production.

It looks great :)
I think I should point out, though, that the doctor's arm looks slightly broken.
*looks at it again and isn't sure if it's just me*

Haha, I know what you mean. It looks very awkwardly posed.
I don't intend to use that as a sprite though. Perhaps placeholder, yes, but I'll replace it soon enough.
The pose is enough for me change it altogether xD Thank you for pointing it out, nonetheless.

PROGRESS REPORT NO. 08
It's been a long time since I updated this time. Don't fret, I'm still working on it, slowly but surely.

Anyhoo, I have new character sprites to introduce. Meet Assistant & Detective!
Image Image
I've managed to finish all their expressions as well as their character background story for each.
I'll be doing the Doctor and the Hacker next, though I have already made a sketch for the NPC Core.
Anyhoo, this is what it looks like if it's been placed on the Dialogue UIs.

Image

Also I have monster designs at hand, but I have yet to refine it since it's still in concept studies.

Moving on, I've made a draft of the Map's UI. Since the way we did the UI is separate from the background (all thanks to Syn for the programming), I'll just have to replace the background and move the blue dots to corresponding areas and voila!
The background will be replaced with a better illustration of the map of Last Cycle. It eases up the production.
If you hover your mouse on the dot, a swirly ring would spin around it. Much like the loading cursor similar to Windows 7.
For now, you may cringe at my horrible speed sketch. xD

Image

Syn and I are still working on the story, improving it as much as we can. We've managed to cover up majority's back story so it's going smoothly, I suppose.

Till next update! c:
