Hm... is the glitch consistent, or is it a one time thing? Is your computer's clock set correctly? It looks like your computer's clock might be set to 1/1/2003.

Huh?... Looks at the clock on my laptop...

Wendsday, January 1, 2003
Adjust time and reboot and yet it still says...
Wendsday, January 1, 2003
Uh-oh... I sense something is definitelly wrong with my laptop... what could it be?... "goes into Panic Mode"
...and I still haven't recovered my data yet and Data Recovery guy says to come back on friday... crosses finger... please let my data be recovered... please.
Goes back to work...

Well hey, at least it got the day right! You should think yourself lucky!mugenjohncel wrote:Wendsday, January 1, 2003
As to the clock - dead CMOS battery, perhaps? On a regular machine that powers (amongst other things) the system clock. Normally I'd expect that to lose things like hardware settings as well, but maybe laptops don't need to store such things 'cause the hardware can't be changed?

Oh man... This thread is now turning into a Laptop Troubleshooting thread.
Anyway, my laptop is almost three years old and I got it from a pawnshop (The warranty sticker is barely visible but miraculously intact so I can safely assume that my laptop is definitelly older than three years old and hasn't been opened yet... and I don't have any plan on doing so) and I think what Jake said is the most likely cause why my clock settings keep reverting back to January 1, 2003.
Tomorrow... I'll bring my good old laptop (which never failed me...until now) for a check-up.
I guess I should turn it off now and go to sleep... and focus on NaNoRenO.
Once again, thanks for the tip...
Man!... I definitelly have a very rough week.
Goes... to sleep.

Since I was too lazy to compensate for the DST start, it will actually reach 31 days about an hour early.

I have 6 and a half hours to go. If I go climbing tonight, which I most likely will, I'll still get home with plenty of time to get started right on the button for my time zone.
Which isn't technically necessary, but hey, at least I have a plan!

Ohboy.
It looks like I might be joining you for this year's wild ride!
...But only sortof. I'm going for what would have been a IntRenAiMo project if IntRenAiMo was happening this year. Finishing off an old ren'ai game that got part-written and never finished.
SunKitten will be joining me again as the character artist - you saw her work two years ago in When I Rule The World Her work will be fully NaNoRenO-style: she's creating it all from scratch this month! I'm going to be continuing a script that's already part-written, though, so I can't really count myself as fully in NaNoRenO. But it'll be the impetus for me to actually finish a game, which is something I've conspicuously failed to do without the NaNo Deadline Power.
So, whether you count me as a proper participant or not, I'm going to be pushing myself towards a March 31st release with the rest of you. And I'll be totally cheering for those of you who're doing the full NaNoRenO challenge!
Welcome and good luck to Nomad ^^

I released 3 VNs, many moons ago: Elven Relations (IntRenAiMo 2007), When I Rule The World (NaNoRenO 2005), and Cloud Fairy (the Cute Light & Fluffy Project, 2009).
More recently I designed the board game Steam Works (published in 2015), available from a local gaming store near you!
