i can't quite get the hang of color. i just don't have the knack yet and fail blah blah blah. QQ
maybe i should buy a coloring book. =P (or work on some practice exercises that are the equivalent)
in the meantime, gonna try to learn and muck around with noir style for a few projects, i suppose, until i get better at drawing and using colors.

some old tests/experiments with simple filters. unfortunately, i had trouble getting the same effect consistently.
haven't gotten around to trying other filters that i didn't have at the time.
might work better. dunno.

I still haven't found "my" way of colouring. I've tried a few guides and I'm still unsatisfied with the finished product. What I did find helpful was limitation: Only allow yourself three colours. Experiment with giving some of your past pictures a edge of colour.

thanks for the advice! three color limit sounds like a good starting point.
i've kinda been stuck with achromatic/monochromatic until i can get my confidence/abilities up.
