Why Am I Meeting All These Girls?!~

Overview:
A story-based visual novel that utilizes story arcs that feature one love interest at a time. These story arcs range from the romantic to the violent to the depressing. There are 5 main story arcs in this game.


Setting:
This visual novel takes place mostly in a high school and the surrounding homes of the love interests. Very Slice-of-Life.


Gameplay:
This visual novel is choice-based and these choices take the reader to one specific story arc. Within each story arc, the amount of choices varies between them, but they all share a similar trait: The readers' final choice has 8 options, which we lovingly refer to as the "Megalchoice". There are different endings for each option, so the endings are ample.

James (Protagonist)

• James enjoys a leisurely life filled with secret video games and hanging out with his best friend, Jason. He struggles in school, but only because he lacks motivation. He likes meeting new people and is very outgoing.

Jason

• James's best friend. James depends on him for nearly everything, but now Jason needs him more than he could ever know.

Eliza

• Eliza also enjoys sneaking video games into school. She has a humongous family and tons of siblings. Her devotion to gaming is similar to her other interest.
• Her basic sketch: see below!

Chelsea

• A clumsy new girl that likes to read. She has a very close friend from a different school who doesn't seem to like James.

Nadia

• The mysterious girl that seems to be following James around. Who does James remind her of?

Piper

• A nice girl put in a rough situation. She will do anything to help the people she loves. She tutors James in math.

Sample Dialogue:

Eliza- “You should come over some time to play with me.”
James- “Umm, s-sure!”
Did I just stutter? Does she really make me that nervous?
I turn towards her face and away from her game.
She pushes some hair that has fallen in her face back behind her ear.
I look at her face.
It’s almost as red as mine probably is.

Thank you so much! Currently, we are over 9000 words and it's hard to say how many words will be in the finished product. Also, we are working with our artist and hopefully we will have something for everyone to see very soon.

Update: Our artist has come through and delivered unto us beautiful works of sketching. Also, we finished the planning process for all of our story routes (some more information was added to each character). In addition, the beginning story arc is completely finished, but not edited. See above for the new and improved descriptions. Stay tuned for more as we are rapidly approaching our goals.

Update: The beginning arc is complete minus the art. As soon as Megan provides the art, a demo will be released for the beginning arc. We can't wait to release the demo and share it with all of you!
