Re: Building a Library of Images for Everyone
I've added about 50 new paper textures derived mostly from old book covers, but there are also some distressed blank pages. They are on my TXR - Paper page:

Re: Building a Library of Images for Everyone
Awesome! How do you source things to photograph? Do you go to places to specifically source textures and bring gear with you for that purpose or do you just kinda chance upon them and use a phone or whatever you have with you? Are these from a museum or junkyard or construction site or where do you go? Any tips for photographing/lighting/editing textures? Googled it, most sites are pretty vague.Eric Matyas wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2017 9:07 am Hi everyone,

Re: Building a Library of Images for Everyone
Hey there, I'm trying to get into the habit of taking my DSLR with me where ever I go and to always be on the lookout for cool textures. For images intended to be used as textures, it helps to shoot in overcast weather so that there are no shadows and the images are lit evenly. On sunny days, I try to shoot on the shadow side of objects for the same reason. Sometimes I see cool textures that are side lit and have shadows so I just shoot them and figure maybe someone can use them as, say, a still image for a website. Anyhow, feel free to email me anytime and I'll be happy to help. My email address is at the bottom of my homepage.ComputerArt.Club wrote: ↑Sat Jan 06, 2018 3:03 amAwesome!
