(solved) Which is better - imagebutton or hotspot for "smartphone screen" icons?
For replicating the ui on a smartphone, with just links to other screens for characters you've met, gallery, etc etc etc, for the icons on the phone, would it be better to use imagebuttons or hotspots?

I think both serve a purpose. Hotspots are great if you draw your whole phone (the static parts) and then just define areas you can interact with. Those areas shouldn't change of course. For all other parts (like inside the display), imagebuttons will be good, because you can move them around to your liking as a designer.
