Wow! Really nice work people. Here's some art from a new game we're working on. Unfortunately, I'm not the talented one who's drawing it, but since I'm working on the game, I'll claim fractional credit. Sorry about the text on the art, I don't have a clean one handy. I would really appreciate any feedback you have (via PM or Forum).

PS- How did everyone get the images into the body of the post? Is it as simple as copy paste?

And everything else is good, too. Colouring style is really pleasing...

Uh, something, something useful... Work on her shoulders? One looks slightly longer than the other (her left is longer than her right)...

I really love the eyes and her expression, although I agree her shoulders need some work: as they are now I see an almost rect line, which makes her look as if she was so tense she had all her muscles extremely stiff as well.
In general the distance from the chin to the clavicle is half the height of the head while in your drawing it's 4 times smaller.
I do agree that while drawing manga you have a certain leeway but I think in this case the proportion could be at least 1 to 3.
Also, usually I'd draw a first curve for the neck muscles and make it intersect with another one for the shoulder...which isn't incredibly explicative I'm afraid...

I also think the shoulder on the right is a bit too high and too long compared to the one on the left.

On the other hand, it's very well polished and your style for the eyes, again, is simply adorable!

Edit: out of curiosity, could you tell me how big is your drawing?
The preview seems so small compared to the whole thing...

Very nice Doomfest. You know that you're doing well when all we can criticize are shoulders!
Did you already post a full-body version or other poses?
All I previously have seen from you are your camp sketeches- which are NICE.

How long does it take you to do a sketch of that quality?

And nah, I haven't posted a full body version yet.

To be honest, the top-of-the-head thing looks weirder to me than the shoulders; I noticed it straight away - it looks like she has amazingly tall hair - while it took me a couple of seconds to register the shoulder thing...

Could it be a stylistic issue? For example, the artist working on our game has a style with minimal noses (such as the avatar). While I recognize that our artist has a strong style, it took me a bit to get used to the noses. The big hair makes me flash back to Kimagure Orange Road character designs, so I don't mind.

While I usually like drawing girls with big hair, I guess this one went a little bit to the extreme. The next one will have smaller hair. I think i'm going to drop this one though, don't feel very motivated to finish it...

Hi, there, Art Dumpers! This marks my first entry into Art Dumpage.

I drew this while I was supposed to be learning about moose. It's not a person because I can't draw (once-)living things very well. There are lots of people drawing here anyways. Hopefully I figure out how to color this some day.

It looks somewhat strange, but that's what happens when you try learning about moose while drawing. And I do realize the hole looks different on the top and bottom. Oops.

Hey, you've got to start somewhere, right? You already noticed your discrepancies so there's not critique left for me, just encouragement. Keep it up! As for coloration, since you've already got it scanned in, try messing around in photoshop or printing it out and trying a bunch of different versions. Once can make up for lack of talent reveal one's talents ( ) with sheer determination and practice...
