We are a small team of game development enthusiasts that has created a few small, non-commercial games over the past few years.
We are looking for a Sprite Artist to do the following:
1. Redraw 1 character from our previous game Goodbye, Emilia.
2. Redesign 1 character from our other previous game Vale.
The two games mentioned above are non-commercial games.
Although both games were created for two O2A2 Jam instances, the new sprites are intended to be used in a new & revamped project release, so as to not conflict with the rules of the jam & to present new content.
We will provide the artist with an art reference document that consists of the characters' basic biographies and clothing references, for ease of work.
The Sprite Artist's style should be similar to Hidari, the character/sprite artist for Fire Emblem Echoes & the Atelier Dusk Series.
From a non-artist's perspective, here's what we're looking for:
- looks like it was drawn with traditional media
- mellow and 'earthy' colours that aren't 'pop'-py or flashy, and somewhat feels a bit washed out
- softer lines, but still visible
- ability to draw characters of all genders, ages, physiques (skin colour, body shape, nationality, etc.), and various fantasy-themed clothes based on various world regions
